Is this thing on?

Haven't posted for a while here, not sure anyone comes here anymore. Paula has started her own blog and much of the family stuff is getting posted there.

The big news is our house has sold and we're hoping to move into our new house in late June.

The Julia Child Meal

Paula's stitcher/tea/quilter friends had their annual Christmas dinner. This year they paid tribute to Julia Child by each bringing a dish from her recipes. Here are the photos:

Martha Sings

Martha had a couple of performances this week. One at church and one at school. She did amazingly well in both. Here are a couple of little videos.

We have a hole

After months of preparation, meetings, setbacks and negotiations, they dug the hole to our basement. We both commented on how small it looked but 1800 sq. feet with a full basement should be plenty of room.

This is not my best photograph of day by a long shot. It's blurry, the lens must have had some schmutz on it, the lighting was bad, etc... But when your friends show up at 9PM to fix your walls AND bring you a freshly baked pie, it trumps everything.

I was minding my own business when Paula casually mentioned she had an extra scrapper if I was interested in helping. So I did the honorable thing and started to scrap. As you can see I may have dug a bit too deep.

We have called a professional who will likely be able to figure out something. Hopefully not new drywall but perhaps a skim coat of plaster. The issue is Paula is hosting a home tour on May 4th. Time is tight and my name is Mud.
